Puente del Corazón Partío
A bridge over the M-30 renamed in 2020 in tribute to Alejandro Sanz and his 1997 song “Corazón partío.”
The Puente del Corazón Partío crosses the M-30 and links the Media Legua neighborhood, in Moratalaz, with Estrella, in Retiro, where Alejandro Sanz spent part of his youth. It had no official name before: locals called it the Estrella bridge because of the nearby metro station.
The city renamed it in July 2020 with the title “Corazón partío,” the 1997 song that brought Sanz international success. The singer recalled that on this crossing he and his friend Carlos Rufo would stop as teenagers to imagine they would become great music stars. He called it his bridge of dreams.
The opening, on July 5, 2020, turned into a surprise concert. At dusk, on the asphalt passing over the M-30 traffic, Sanz performed “Corazón partío” with Carlos Rufo by his side.
