Calle Dolores Bejarano
The street was named in 1941 after Dolores Bejarano, remembered as the first resident to settle on it.
The name reached this corner of Valdeacederas in 1941, when Tetuán was growing northward with short streets and low houses. Calle de Dolores Bejarano remembers the first resident to settle on it, and from that neighbourly standing the sign takes its name. No further biography survives: only that she lived here before anyone else, when the stretch was barely a row of new doorways.
The street runs some forty-five metres, so brief you cross it before finishing the tile. In that minimal stretch the name of a woman who was here when the street was not quite a street is fixed for good.
